Ms V appears in Dr Sketchy

I had such a blast doing the Dr. Sketchy event that I figured I would share my experience with you. For those of you who don’t know what Dr. Sketchy, it is an unconventional life-drawing class! This phenomenon was created by an artist called Molly Crabapple in New York and has since spread to Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Tokyo and Montreal just to name a few. For more information on them pls visit http://drsketchymontreal.blogspot.com .

I was approached by a lovely lady called Georgiana to be a part of the Alice in Wonderland theme. Seeing as I had already been the Queen of Hearts for our own Alice in Wonderland party in 2008 01_-_poster-english

I was honored to be approached to play this role again, especially when I heard I would be sharing the stage with the beautiful Jessica Lablanche.

Ms. Lablanche was Alice, and Georgiana and her team found a bunch of props for us to use pertaining to the theme. We had a giant Mushroom

A Queen’s throne, a beautifully hand-made heart mirror, a hookah, a “Drink Me” potion and a delicious “Eat Me” cake that was offered by one of their sponsors.
The whole thing starts off nicely. Jessica and I choose a few poses that we have to hold for 1 to 5 minutes. We really had fun with these! I played a game of cricket with a pink flamingo and a mannequin’s head.

I was also lucky enough to Jessica bent over my knees for a spanking

and receive a bouquet of painted roses.

During the event, Georgiana adds little challenges in the form of contests. She asks the artist to incorporate characters from the movie in their drawings. The first, of course, was the lovely Cheshire cat. Once we do a few poses for the artists to choose from they bring up their drawings and we get to pick the winner.

I got to choose the first one! I really like Noumier’s drawing

He had made Cheshire as a puff of smoke from my hookah, and he had but a few minutes to do so. I was really impressed by all the drawings! I didn’t think the artist would have developed the drawings so much in such little time! My favorite of all the drawings I have seen so far has to be Guylaine Rheaume’s version of me as the caterpillar.

I absolutely love that she made me into the caterpillar instead of just incorporating him in the picture. She even had the time to integrate the important elements of my outfit, such as my heart shaped pasties, my tutu skirt, even the little crown in my hair.
I think that Dr. Sketchy is a great way for artist to practice and get inspired by beautiful women and fun themes. Thank you Dr. Sketchy, Georgiana and the whole team for making this such a fun experience. And a special thanks to all the artists who sent in their drawings. You are all very talented and I wish you fortuity in your career and/or hobby.
Have a look at the wonderful drawings that were submitted.
